U.S. stock futures rose amid higher-than-estimated earnings and as European leaders prepared to meet to discuss the debt crisis.
Global stocks swung between gains and losses as European leaders hold the crisis summit today to discuss Greece’s second bailout, shoring up banks and strengthening the 440 billion-euro ($613 billion) rescue fund.

Shares of Boeing gained 3.1 percent to $65.70. The company reported third-quarter earnings excluding some items of $1.46 a share vs estimated profit of $1.10 a share.
